  1. Your machine is not turning on
  The problem could be as simple as a faulty power outlet or a tripped circuit breaker. Sometimes mechanical knobs or timers can break and need repair. Also, if your machine sees heavy use, the motor can overheat and stop working. Give it time to cool down and then try again.
  2. Your washer's tumble-dry feature is not working
  A washing machine's lid switch, which stops the machine from spinning when you open the lid, may have malfunctioned. Make sure the lid is properly closed. If this is not the problem, there may be an issue with the machine's belt, which can become worn or damaged due to heavy use. Another possible problem is a broken transmission clutch, which requires professional help.
  3. Failure to drain
  There could be a problem with the machine's hose, such as kinks or blockages caused by lint. Make sure your hose is clear and then try the machine again. Also, you'll want to make sure that the washer's drain hose is sitting above water level in the drain tub. Another problem could be a malfunctioning water pump. Try looking for any jams in the pump with a pair of pliers. If you don't find any, it's best to call a professional.
  4. Leaking washer
  Bad seals or gaskets can cause a washer to leak. Your machine's tub has a main seal that can leak after heavy use. If you have front-load washer, your door's seal could be leaking due to a buildup of dirt and detergent. If a good cleaning doesn't help, the gasket will need replacing. Another cause for a leaky washer could be damaged or improperly connected fill or drain hoses.
